But... what are we actually talking about here?
Slow living?
Slow Living is slowing down together. Taking a break from the hustle and bustle. No rush, no busy schedules. At Mölke, it's all about time for each other. For couples. For families. For anyone who wants to truly be together again.
In a time when we are already busy enough, we bring our guests closer together. Couples and families. We start the day quietly. With a slow start. A breakfast that is already waiting for you, or that you put together together. No planning. No obligations.
After breakfast, we head out into nature together. Up the Regge on a boat. Exploring the Sallandse Heuvelrug by green buggy. Or just walking, with no destination. Being outside naturally brings everyone closer together.
During our specials, such as Slow Weekends, Slowlands, Minilands and Doglands, we organise a lifestyle program. No children's entertainment where everyone scatters, but activities you do together. Parents and children.
Holidays are for being together. Several times a week, we combine this with live music during the activities to make it even more enjoyable. The children are already away from home, so holidays are a time to spend together. View our program during our specials here.
We end the day together. Around the table. With homemade dishes, prepared with care. Sometimes in the lively family restaurant, sometimes in a calm and atmospheric setting. In summer, this continues in our pop-up restaurant, with concepts such as the Longest Table, festival bingo and Cakey Smash. No evening is ever the same. But always together.

Who is Mölke?
Mölke is a true Twente family business.
Established after World War II, when the hamlet of Zuna offered refuge to people in hiding. Now a third-generation family business, it strives to offer guests a touch of Slow Living with a warm heart and a down-to-earth Twente approach. And to show that happiness often lies in the little things.

Experience the Slow Living Experience
The Slow Living Experience. What exactly is it? It's best compared to your own weekend feeling: exploring the area for fun spots, enjoying a day out, playing and exercising, or just taking a breath. Doing what you love, enjoying each other's company, and all of this in a homely atmosphere where all your senses are stimulated. We call it Slow Living. Day in, day out, it's always weekend here.
No rush, just hungry. Now that's slow
No question is too crazy
How did Slow Living come about at Mölke?
How did Slow Living come about at Mölke?
Slow Living comes from the heart of Mölke and originated from the customs of our family business. From a way of life that has been self-evident for generations. Mölke is a family business, now in its third generation. And perhaps that is precisely why we know how important time together is. Not planned, not busy, just together.
Saturdays used to be all about going out together.
Sometimes to the riding school. Other times to the sports field. Everyone had their own interests, but we were always together. Out and about together. Watching together. Eating together. Not because we had to, but because that's how it was supposed to be and we respected each other.
And Sundays?
They had a different rhythm. The sails stood still, the business was closed. There was no rush. Late breakfast. Late lunch. Or early dinner. A day when nothing had to be done and everything was allowed. A day to recharge.
